Young Audience Concerts
BAR HARBOR MUSIC FESTIVAL YOUNG AUDIENCE CONCERTS
The Young Audience Concerts were initiated in 2014 as part of the Bar Harbor Music Festival’s 48th Season of opera, solo recitals, chamber music, New Composers, brass quintet, orchestra, jazz, pops, and tea concerts, with the goal to make this great music-making accessible to children. In these daytime events, Bar Harbor Music Festival musicians interact with their young audiences in a relaxed and informal setting, entertaining and educating them about classical music.
In a lively interchange of performances and hands-on demonstrations geared to children, Young Audience Concerts link community members, tourists, summer residents, children and adults together with each other and with musicians from all over the world, It is natural and befitting for such a great music festival as the Bar Harbor Music Festival to make available the abundant talent that is in town to perform during the summer season.
